Timeless and Natural Looking Newborn Portraits

One of the primary reasons why I love this job is because I get the opportunity to document some of life's most precious moments; one of the sweetest being those very first days with your newborn baby. As a professional photographer for over a decade, I specialise in baby photography, capturing fleeting moments and creating heirloom artwork that clients can cherish forever. My goal is to celebrate the fleeting beauty of new life while honouring my clients' wishes.

I offer laidback baby photography packages that take place either in the comfort of your own home or outdoors among nature in Cork city parks. Each approach offers a unique setting to suit the vision you have for your perfect newborn pictures. No matter if we shoot indoors utilising natural light from windows or outdoors among vibrant backgrounds, I aim to get a variety of moods and styles.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are available, they are for a nature baby shoot (two adults, one baby) in Fitzgerald’s Park. The family will receive 30-35 digital photos, and an optional print package is also available. I can either send the gift card to you, the gifter, or directly to the family with an optional personalized message.

How does a newborn photoshoot work?

At-Home Package

Having the photography session at your home takes the stress off you needing to travel outside with a tiny infant. I'll bring all the necessary lighting equipment to transform any room in your home into a studio setup for professional grade shots – no matter the weather. We can photograph all those sweet snuggles, close-ups of tiny fingers and toes, sleepy newborn expressions and any special prop ideas you may have. For additional portraits with parents, we can shoot those inside as well, or we also have the option of going into your garden.

Outdoor Package

For those wanting an outdoor session, my nature newborn sessions take place in places like Fitzgerald Park, the Ballincollig Regional Park or somewhere more remote. Lively green, or yellow and gold backgrounds make a striking backdrop for your baby. Outdoor shoots are influenced by weather, but offer a lot of variety. The best outdoor newborn sessions take place in the summer and autumn months when the scenery is at its peak and it’s not too cold yet.

Expect Flexibility & Focus on Comfort

In my experience as a newborn baby photographer, I've learned the importance of flexibility and comfort when taking pictures of newborns. I never rush and instead make sure to give ample time in case your baby needs to nurse or fuss during our session. We'll work together at your baby's pace to get great shots.

Every baby has their own temperament; some infants love the camera while others need more cuddles first! I try to be aware of subtle cues from both baby and parents to ensure the experience is enjoyable for all involved. And don’t worry – crying is all part of it, we’ll still get lots of great, professional baby photos. We want to capture organic moments as well as getting those quintessential newborn portraits you'll enjoy displaying in your home for years to come.

A standard newborn session involves photographing baby plus parents. But I'm happy to accommodate requests for grandparents, siblings, or any other special family members you'd like included too! My approach aims to celebrate the fleeting beauty of new life while honouring my clients' wishes to remember this special time.
